I will be sharing a series of posts devoted to some quirky wedding vendors I love. This time is the turn of one of my most favorite wedding venues here in Berkshire: the unique Wasing Park. I was lucky enough to take some photos for them last week and I loved the capture the spirit of the place in all its uniqueness. Following some photos of the stunning details that make the place so different from the traditional wedding venues.
Also, here is a small interview I did with Natasha, their event manager:
What is the story of the venue?
Wasing Park is situated on a large family-owned estate in the idyllic Berkshire Countryside. Historically, the venue itself was a working farm and still boasts many of the original buildings including The Castle Barn, a cosy castellated barn perfect for your wedding breakfast, and the Victorian Summerhouse which gives couples the option of an outdoor ceremony with views over acres of land. Wasing Park has been operating as a wedding venue for 9 years and continues to strive to provide an extraordinary setting to your dream wedding day.
What are its strongest points for a couple who’s looking for something different?
As an exclusive use venue, Wasing Park offers a unique and personal rural wedding with just your nearest and dearest. With the option of being married at the beautiful Parish Church of St Nicholas, or either an outdoor or indoor civil ceremony, all within metres of your wedding reception, the venue truly becomes your home away from home for the day. We want to give you the freedom to create the wedding vibe to suit you. For this reason, the décor of the venue is stylish, yet understated, allowing your unique vision to take hold. Similarly, our 26 bedrooms are just a stone’s throw away, offering guests a cosy night stay after a long day of celebrating. In the last few years, the farms original grain store, dovecote and blacksmiths have been renovated to add to our quirky luxury accommodation for your guests. Our exceptional Honeymoon Suite boasts ‘the biggest bed in Berkshire’, original beams, glorious views of the gardens and always promises to be a truly magical place to spend the night.
