Friendors – Top Berkshire & London Wedding Suppliers
At this point in my wedding photography career, I am getting to know some really lovely wedding suppliers. This really is a beautiful industry and whenever my couples ask me about recommendations, I’m always happy to name some fellow suppliers. So I thought why not to devote a page to some of my favourite ”friendors”? Please note that this list is bound to grow over time and I will try to update it regularly.
Most importantly, the people I tend to recommend are not only incredibly skilled in their fields but also heartful, kind and generous people which is very important to me. Their personalities shine through their beautiful work.
Tiny Sarah’s Cakes
Sarah is a genuine sweetheart and a super-talented French baker based in Reading and specialized in vegan wedding cakes with a quirky unique style. She loves art and combines lots of different influences in her cakes. Sarah is really gifted with golden hands and her creativity is endless. If you want a cake that is a piece of art, she is definitely the lady for you.
Ilenia is both an artist and the most knowledgeable person in her field. Originally from beautiful Sardegna, Italy. Ilenia comes from generations of tailors and have worked in a few different countries, including the US. When people ask me whether I would recommend her, I simply reply you could not find a finer tailor if you tried, it’s simply impossible.
Joyce has over 20 years experience in the beauty field. I love how knowledgeable she is about both beauty and skincare and I admire the way she runs her business. Unlike many makeup artists, she has a very diverse portfolio and huge experience with different skin tones. Joyce also has the rare gift of putting people at ease immediately.
Unique Wedding Dresses:
Kate Edmondson Bridal
I was introduced to Kate’s talent by my Cali colleague and sister from another mother Chrissy (check out her work here). I am in awe of Kate’s bridal work as it basically incorporates everything I love in bridal dresses: vintage and timeless elegance inspired by the 30s and 40s. Besides that, from the little, I have known so far she has struck me as a warm kind and direct person. All things I appreciate enormously. If you’re not familiar with her gowns, you seriously need to take a look at them right now.
Lyndsey Clarke Boutique
Corsetiere extraordinaire and free spirit. Lyndsey is a unique combo of an awkward, quirky, sweet person with a hilarious sense of humour. Everything she writes is funny and I have been begging her to write a book since the day I met her. Her dresses are really different and she always works really closely with her clients to create something unique for them.
Marie Chandler Bridal
Marie has tons of experience in costume designing under her belt, but her passion is empowering all types of brides. Very committed to diversity, her style combines a variety of influences from boho, to vintage, to the catwalk. Keep an eye on her work because I bet you she is a rising star.
Wedding & Engagement Rings
I personally hired Louise to make my husband’s wedding ring and was impressed by her sweetness and professionalism. Her jewellery is absolutely gorgeous and I love how high end it feels. One of the things I love about Louise’s work is that she pays attention to the ethical aspect too, dealing only with fairtrade and recycled materials.
